The main role of the work was to provide adequate water supply with minimized movements by workers within the garden. Installation was in such a technical way that allows for future automation of the system. Serere district is one of the districts severely hit by prolonged drought periods.
The following activities were done by our technical team;
-Fabrication and installation of a 3m high (off ground) metallic tank stand (to raise tank for gravity pressure generation)
-Trenching and backfilling for the main and submain pipe channels
-Laying mains (50mm) and submain pipes (32mm diameter pipe)
-Installation of the hydrants at various garden points.
-Installation of the petrol engine pump.
-system testing and user training
-System handover to the client
-Agronomy training to farmworkers.
The project shall be expanded and switched to automatic drip irrigation systems in the near future
